Throughout my 22-year tenure in civil construction, I have worked my way through every level, from labouring and plant operation to supervision and operational management. 

 

My professional journey has taken me across continents, having worked for civil construction firms in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

 

Twelve years ago, I grabbed the opportunity to transition to adult education and training within the civil construction sector. Since then, my expertise and understanding have grown significantly and I have had the privilege of facilitating training for over 15,000 adults, delivering a wide range of skills.

 

At the heart of my approach is a genuine passion for connecting people and content, and I am committed to bridging the gap between learners and knowledge.

With over 20 years experience in finance and accounting across a range of industries in Ireland, along with running my own bookkeeping business in New Zealand, I take a practical and organised approach to supporting the day-to-day running of our business.

I find the most rewarding part of my role here at Engaging Solutions to be the designing of our training resources. It allows me to tap into my creative side and bring a different lens to the work, focusing on how the content looks and feels for the learner, and finding ways to make it both visually engaging and easy to connect with.

 

Seeing the finished resources being used in our training workshops, and knowing they help support our learners to build confidence and their skillset, is by far the best part.

I am passionate about helping organisations build capable, confident people and practical solutions.  I work alongside leaders and teams to design learning, development and organisational approaches that are grounded, achievable, and aligned with the realities of day-to-day work.

​

With more than 20 years of experience across policing, small business management, infrastructure, and community organisations - and over 7 years leading learning and organisational development initiatives - I bring broad experience and strong insight into people and workplaces.  I've designed and delivered programs in leadership, wellbeing, inclusion, and transition, led operational reviews, and supported organisations to strengthen their practices, systems and ways of working.

I take a warm, down-to-earth approach and focus on building trust quickly, which helps me work effectively alongside managers who are navigating growth, change or capability uplift.​

I am committed to enhancing the way people learn, with a focus on innovative approaches to training and assessment.  With my background in  instructional design, eLearning, and learning technologies, I aim to ensure training is both effective and engaging.

​

With over 25 years of experience delivering HR and IT solutions globally across a wide range of industries including construction, emergency services and healthcare - I have had the opportunity to help shape training strategies that support real results.  I place a strong emphasis on both online and print-based training ensuring learners benefit from a well-rounded approach.

​

I'm passionate about improving how information is delivered, and I enjoy being able to contribute to both the team and the learners I work with in a meaningful way.
